    Long before the advent of our web page, Apostle members kept in contact via mailing lists. The reasons behind using a mailing list are many, but perhaps the best reason is a mailing list’s ability to keep you informed instantly. During events and times of conflict, a mailing list provides us with the means to organize and inform our members. During times of peace and prosperity, we use the mailing list for our weekly letters and questions members may have.

    While it is not required that Apostle members or Apostle supporters join the list, it is strongly encouraged. We have service with eGroups.com, which provides us with free access to a mailing list group. The process to join is very simple. The instructions look long, but they amount to about 6 lines of fill in the blank and 7 button clicks.

    To join, go to http://www.eGroups.com on the world wide web. In the upper tool bar, click on the word register. A small form will appear, asking for your name, age and the E-mail address where you want your mail sent to. You do not need to use your master screen name/main internet account, but be sure you use the address where you want the mail to go. If you want to have mail sent to more then one E-mail address, you will have to repeat the process. After filling out the form, click on the next button. Your E-mail address will appear, so you can verify if it is correct. If it is, click on the next button again. All of your information will now appear on a spread sheet, along with some additional and optional questions. At the bottom, you will need to click on the complete registration button, when you are finished. Now you are registered with onelist.

    That is the first part. To join our specific mailing list community, you will see a box in the upper right hand corner titled: search. In this box, you want to type: DRapostle. Then click on the go button. The search will pull up a screen that has “DRapostle” as the heading and our mission statement. Click on DRapostle. Then, on the next screen, click on the “join community” button. You have a choice of having each mail sent you individually, bundled daily as a digest or accessing the list for mail. I prefer to have E-mail sent individually, since we see 4 to 6 E-mails a week on average. After selecting one, click on join, and you are all done. Please remember to respond to the first mailing form onelist will send you to confirm that they have the right E-mail address. To change any options with regard to how mail is sent to you or to search for other list related to Dragon Realms, you will need to access onelist at http://www.eGroups.com.
